New Computers, Old Computers

So...I bought a laptop last November. It was not a cheap laptop, but right from the beginning I had issues with it. Otherwise I really loved it, but it locked up occasionally, sometimes stuttered when playing Sims 3, etc. The Dell help people offered help and I accepted and all was mostly well except for the locking up occasionally. Eventually this issue got worse, so they sent someone to my house to replace the motherboard. This caused more problems with the laptop, so they replaced the motherboard again. This time something happened--wires out of place or something--and caused the USB ports not to line up properly so I couldn't insert anything into the ports. The tech people misunderstood and sent a tech guy out to replace the motherboard a third time.  heh

Luckily the tech guy found the problem and fixed it, but still the computer kept locking up, though less frequently. Dell offered to send me a new (refurbished) computer and I reluctantly agreed. 

It turns out that they sent me a brand new computer. It's slightly upgraded from what I had, but it also doesn't have the same (slightly larger and better) screen and is missing a few other features that I had on the other laptop. Overall it's not bad, though, and I'm mostly happy with it, except that setting it up is a pain.

Also, I have to send the old computer back, and I really don't have a good way to remove all my personal information. I am deleting everything as much as I can, but the computer won't allow me to delete some files even though I AM the administrator.  Grrr...  I hate all these stupid Windows security features. I wish there were some way to turn them off if I'm the only one using the computer.
